AiA Art Gallery - June Featured Artist Opening Reception

During the month of June, the Artists in Action Art Gallery will show a special feature of the work of Pauli Bailey. Pauli Bailey studied fine art and textile design at UC Davis graduating with a BS in Textile Design. She studied Plein Air painting with Camille Prezewodek, a colorist, landscape with Gregory Kondos, and Carole Watanabe. As Director of Operations for Art Works Downtown in San Rafael, CA Pauli learned art business while pursuing painting on her own. Pauli Bailey, now lives in Silverton, Oregon. She sees paintings in every landscape.

Pauli presents works titled “An Instance of Flowers”. “So begins a very long list of things that make me happy. When I close my eyes I can smell my father’s roses, marvel again at the purple iris in grandmother’s depression era garden. Daphne grew where I plotted growing up. All of the flower lined pathways I hope to travel draw me to discoveries. Imagination blooms. My paintings can’t describe how flowers make me feel nor convey their true beauty. Perhaps my work will evoke an instance of flowers in your life.”

An Opening Night Reception coincides with Salem’s First Friday Art Walk event on June 7th between 5:00-8:00 p.m. The show runs through June 30th.
