The eclipse starts close to 9:05 a.m. and doesn’t hit a total eclipse in Salem until 10:17 a.m. At that point it will be almost two minutes of totality. Rose City Astronomer, Margaret Mcrea, will be talking through the eclipse, giving viewers the technical names of the eclipse in different stages.
